About This Project

Boutique was built as a practical fashion ecommerce store with two clear goals: make shopping easy for customers and make everyday store management less complicated for the business owner.

The storefront gives customers a clean way to explore products, browse categories, search the catalogue, filter products, view product details, save items, add products to cart, and complete their purchase on both desktop and mobile.

Product management was also made simpler for the store owner. From the custom dashboard, products can be added, edited, removed, updated with images, prices, stock levels, colours, sizes, and other product information without relying heavily on the standard WordPress admin area.

Orders can also be monitored from the same dashboard, making it easier for the owner to keep track of customer purchases and manage the store from one place.

The dashboard also provides useful store insights, including visitor activity, product interest, orders, sales, and other customer behaviour that can help the owner understand how the store is performing.

One of the more useful features is the ability to see searches that did not return any products. If customers repeatedly search for an item that is not currently available, the owner can use that information to identify possible demand and decide what products to introduce next.

The mobile experience was designed to keep shopping simple, with easy navigation, product filters, category access, responsive product pages, cart access, and a checkout flow that works comfortably on smaller screens.
